About Us
The Pôle Santé du Pays-d'Enhaut (PSPE) is responsible for maintaining and developing our region's healthcare infrastructure. Created in 2019, this pioneering model encompasses the hospital, the home care and assistance center (CMS), the Gentianes Residence for medical and social accommodation, and the Papillons temporary reception center (CAT).
The Pôle Santé du Pays-d'Enhaut (PSPE) is managed by a private foundation recognized as being of public interest. This recognition allows the hospital to benefit from general interest services (PIG) for the hospital component, including cantonal subsidies for its operations.
Local care
and quality
Context
Due to its geographical location, the Pays-d'Enhaut Hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services not only to the residents and visitors of the Vaud region of Pays-d’Enhaut (Château-d’OEx, Rougemont, Rossinière), but also to those from neighboring regions.
The hospital is a key element in the socio-economic development of the region, benefiting the population of the municipalities involved, the employees of local businesses, and tourists.
Challenges
Built in 1979, the hospital no longer meets certain current standards, particularly fire safety regulations. Reconstruction is now essential to create an infrastructure equipped with modern medical equipment, capable of providing quality services.
The PSPE Foundation's current capital is very limited. It is therefore not possible—without a significant influx of donations—to consider the investment necessary to maintain healthcare services for all residents, temporary guests, and periodic residents. This is why the PSPE Foundation is launching a fundraising campaign specifically for the construction of a new hospital.
Benefits for the population

Universal access to quality, specialized care adapted to the needs of a local and tourist population.

Specialized care for the elderly and vulnerable, with services dedicated to rehabilitation and chronic illnesses.

A prevention center, with targeted community programs to encourage healthy living and harmonious development of children and young people.

An investment for the future
The PSPE's current equity is limited. It does not allow for such an investment to be considered without a significant contribution from external equity. Although a financial guarantee from the State is required to limit borrowing costs, significant equity will be required to launch this project to facilitate the search for financing from banking institutions or institutional lenders.
